Nature of our service

True North Waste Bins provides temporary roll-off dumpster rentals for residential, commercial and construction projects in Duluth, Minnesota, Superior, Wisconsin and the surrounding communities — home cleanouts, renovation debris, roofing projects, construction waste, yard waste cleanup and junk removal. Depending on the project, the schedule and the location, we may provide the rental directly or connect you with an independent local dumpster rental provider ("Service Provider"), for example when additional availability or specialized services are needed. When you request a quote, call us or submit information through the website, your information may be shared with a Service Provider able to handle your request. We do not operate disposal facilities or landfills. Each Service Provider operates independently and is responsible for its own pricing, scheduling, operations, disposal practices, customer service and performance. Every rental depends on dumpster availability, the delivery location, the rental duration, the type of material and local and state rules.

Acceptance of terms

By using the website, requesting a quote or contacting us by phone, you confirm that you are over 18 years of age, that you will use our services only for lawful purposes, and that you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

No guarantee of service

We work to provide dependable dumpster rental, but service is not available at all times or in all locations, availability varies with demand and scheduling, delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed, pricing and service details may vary with project scope, and weather, snow and plowing, traffic, facility restrictions or local regulations may affect scheduling. Same-day and next-day delivery depend on availability. Where a Service Provider handles your rental, the service is performed by that provider, any rental agreement is between you and that provider, and we are not responsible for disputes, delays, scheduling issues or service interruptions arising from it.

Information collection and sharing

When you submit a request, call our number or book a service, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, project details, dumpster size requirements and service location. This information is used to provide service and is shared only with those who need it to fulfil your request, such as a relevant Service Provider or operational partner. The Privacy Policy explains more.

Payments and pricing

Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and vary with the dumpster size, the rental period, weight allowances, the type of debris, the delivery location, and any additional rental days, pickups, swap-outs or overage charges. Please review all quoted pricing before booking. Our flat-rate pricing, whenever possible, includes delivery, pickup, disposal within the included weight allowance and the standard rental period. If a load exceeds the included weight, it is weighed and an overage fee applies; extra rental days are charged as quoted. We are not responsible for charges caused by overloaded containers, prohibited materials, extended rental periods or inaccessible delivery locations. We accept major credit and debit cards, and payment is typically collected when your booking is confirmed, to secure your delivery date. True North Waste Bins handles pricing for the services we provide directly. Where a Service Provider handles the rental, quotes, billing, refunds and any overage charges are handled directly between you and that provider, and we are not responsible for that provider's quotes, billing errors, refund requests or overage charges.

Use of the container

The standard rental period is typically 3 to 7 days unless otherwise agreed; extensions may be available for a daily or weekly fee, depending on availability. You are responsible for providing a safe, accessible placement area on a flat, solid surface; for keeping all debris level with or below the top rim and spreading the weight evenly; for protecting nearby vehicles, structures and surfaces during loading; and for keeping prohibited materials out. Do not place paint or solvents, oils, fuel or other liquids, hazardous chemicals, batteries, tires, propane tanks, gas cylinders or other pressurized tanks, flammable or toxic waste, medical waste, asbestos-containing materials, or major appliances in the container. Minnesota law keeps tires (Minn. Stat. 115A.904), major appliances (115A.9561), CRT TVs and monitors (115A.9565), lead-acid batteries (115A.915), vehicle fluids and filters (115A.916), yard waste (115A.931), mercury items (115A.932) and rechargeable batteries (115A.9157) out of the trash; in the Duluth area, Resource Renew also bans TVs and monitors 7 inches or bigger, computers, printers and cell phones, and requires corrugated cardboard to be separated from trash; and for a job in Superior, Wisconsin's landfill bans apply (Wis. Stat. 287.07). Yard waste goes only in a separate green load.

Permits and placement

In the City of Duluth, a roll-off in a street, alley or sidewalk needs an obstruction permit from City Engineering (Duluth City Code § 45-15), issued once a $10,000 surety bond and liability insurance naming the City are on file (§ 45-19), with the permit card posted at the container and barricades and warning devices as the City Engineer requires (§§ 45-18, 45-22). Duluth's zoning code names roll-off containers in its definition of temporary storage containers (UDC § 50-20.6.C); how that applies to a short debris rental on private property is not stated, so placement rules are checked with you before delivery. In the City of Superior, a container on a street, alley or right-of-way needs a permit from the Director of Public Works (Superior Code §§ 106-4, 106-8), and blocking a sidewalk needs a City Clerk permit (§ 106-46). MnDOT has no permit for a private container on state trunk highway right-of-way, and obstructing a highway is a misdemeanor (Minn. Stat. 160.2715). Other cities and townships have their own rules. Following local regulations and HOA requirements is the customer's responsibility. We can help explain the local requirements when you book.

Service provider responsibility

When a Service Provider is involved, it operates as an independent business and is responsible for obtaining proper licenses, insurance and permits; complying with local, state and federal laws; safe delivery and removal of the container; safe and lawful disposal of waste; and preventing property damage during delivery or pickup. True North Waste Bins does not directly supervise, manage or control Service Providers and is not liable for their conduct or performance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, True North Waste Bins, its owners, partners, affiliates and employees are not liable for any injury, property damage or loss arising from services provided by third parties; delays, cancellations or failure to perform by a Service Provider; property damage caused by improper site conditions; delays related to traffic, weather or facility operations; losses arising from misuse of a rented container or unsafe loading; or errors or omissions in the content of this website. Use of our website and services is at your own risk.

No warranties

The website, referrals and our services are provided "as is" and based on availability at the time of scheduling, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including about the quality or reliability of a Service Provider, the accuracy of information on this website, specific delivery or pickup times, or the fitness of any service for a particular purpose. Please verify service details before you book.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless True North Waste Bins, its affiliates, owners, employees and representatives from any claims, losses or expenses, including legal fees, arising from your use of this website or our services, your relationship or transactions with any referred Service Provider, improper use of a rented container, disposal of prohibited materials, unsafe loading or placement conditions, or a violation of these terms.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, and any dispute arising from the use of this website or our services is handled in the appropriate courts serving St. Louis County, Minnesota. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is posted here with its revised date, and continued use of the website or our services after that means you accept the changes.
